Privacy Policy

What we collect

VoiceWalks uses your device's location to show landmarks near you and to auto-play audio when you reach stops on a walking tour. Your location data is processed on your device and sent to our servers only to fetch nearby landmarks. We do not store your location history.

AI Chat

When you use the AI chat feature, your messages are sent to our API which processes them using third-party AI providers (Anthropic via Vercel AI Gateway). Chat messages are not stored permanently and are not used to train AI models. We may temporarily log messages for error monitoring.

Account data

If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or a private relay address if you choose to hide your email). This is stored securely in our database to identify your account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Analytics

We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as which cities are most viewed) to improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you.

Data storage

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted in the EU, London region) and served via Vercel. Audio and image files are stored on Cloudflare R2. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email privacy@voicewalks.app.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
