Parte Vieja (Old Town)

The Parte Vieja is San Sebastián's old town and the world capital of pintxos — a dense grid of narrow streets at the base of Monte Urgull where every bar displays an elaborate counter of miniature culinary creations on bread, each one a work of edible art. The tradition of the txikiteo (pintxo crawl, moving from bar to bar eating one pintxo at each) is the essential San Sebastián experience and the reason this small city has more Michelin stars per capita than anywhere else in the world.
